Enjoy the beauty and color of textiles created by our sisters (dadas) in the village of Mwitikira, in central Tanzania. Using traditional kanga and kitenge fabrics, a group of women work together , without electricity and running water, to create unique textile products. Dadas&Design is a local, not-for-profit social enterprise whose goal it is to support the women of Mwitikira with the tools and opportunities to run a sustainable business, and in turn, provide enough to feed and educate their families. One must come in to appreciate these beautiful garments in person.
